At the Office

A little corner of their own

Our waiting room has a kids table with colouring pages, dental storybooks, and a few quiet things to do while the family waits. It is a small corner, but it helps little ones settle in before they see us.

For Parents

Making the first visit easy

A child’s early experiences at the dentist can shape how they feel about oral care for life. Our team keeps first visits short, friendly, and low-pressure – we’ll talk through anything specific to your child before we start.

  • Bring your child in for a “practice” visit before any treatment is needed, if that helps ease nerves
  • Let us know about any anxiety, sensory needs, or past experiences that would help us prepare
  • We’re happy to answer your child’s questions directly, in language that makes sense to them

Fun links for kids

FAQ

For parents booking a first visit

Are you accepting new children and families?

Yes. New patients and families are welcome. See Children’s Dentistry and our New Patients page for what to expect.

How can I help my child feel ready?

Keep the conversation calm and honest. Tell us about any anxiety or sensory needs when you book so we can plan extra time and explain each step in kid-friendly language.

Can the rest of the family be seen here too?

Yes. Parents and children can share one dental home. That is one of the reasons families travel from across London to our South London office.
