When to call
A dental emergency is any problem that needs attention sooner than a regular checkup – especially pain, swelling, a tooth that has broken, or a restoration that has come loose. New patients with urgent concerns are welcome to call as well.
- Toothache or pain that is getting worse
- A broken, cracked, or knocked-out tooth
- A lost filling, crown, or temporary restoration
- Swelling around a tooth or in the face
- Injury to the mouth after a fall or sports accident
What to do first
Call 519-681-1905 during office hours and tell us what happened. We will work to get you in as soon as we can. If you have a medical emergency such as difficulty breathing or uncontrolled bleeding, go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
FAQ
Questions about dental emergencies
Do you see dental emergencies the same day?
We do our best to see urgent concerns promptly during office hours. Call 519-681-1905 and describe your symptoms so we can find the earliest opening.
I am not a current patient. Can I still come in?
Yes. We are accepting new patients, including people who need help with pain or a broken tooth. You can also review what to expect as a new patient.
Will you bill my insurance directly for emergency treatment?
We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). For private insurance, we electronically submit claims on your behalf and do not accept assignment (direct billing). Payment is due at the time of treatment, and reimbursement is sent directly to you.
What are your office hours?
