For Growing Smiles

Children’s Dentistry

Gentle, family-centered dental care for children in South London – built around first visits that feel friendly, clear, and unhurried.

Gentle First Visits

A child’s first visit

Early experiences at the dentist can shape how a child feels about oral care for years. We keep first visits short, friendly, and low-pressure. We talk with parents beforehand, explain each step in language kids can understand, and take the time to help nervous children feel safe.

Many families book children and adults at the same practice so everyone has one dental home. If that would make the first appointment easier, tell us when you call.

FAQ

Questions about children’s dental care

At what age should my child see the dentist?

A first visit is helpful once baby teeth are in, or sooner if you have a concern. If you are unsure, call us and we will help you decide when to come in.

Can I stay with my child during the appointment?

Yes. We want both you and your child to feel comfortable. Let us know what will help most – staying in the room, a practice visit, or extra time to talk first.

Do you see children and parents at the same office?

Yes. We welcome the whole family. Many parents choose us so children and adults can be cared for in one familiar place.

How does insurance work for a child’s visit?

We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). For private insurance, we electronically submit claims on your behalf and do not accept assignment (direct billing). Payment is due at the time of treatment, and reimbursement is sent directly to you. Details are on our New Patients page.
